Last movie I saw was This Film is Not Yet Rated...if you love film, you have to see this one...a scathing documentary about the MPAA (the real one, not ours)...Brilliantly conceived...(I use the four star rating system)... I give it ***1/2.
This weekend, would like to go see Gridiron Gang...I like football movies...

Okay, check out The Illusionist - ***1/2
Well shot, intelligent, and Giamatti's performance is, as always for Giamatti, absolutely terrific.

The Black Dahlia. B+
Despite bad reviews, I enjoyed it. Although the chemistry between Josh and Scarlett wasn't that good.

Forgot to mention that I also saw Lucky Number Slevin on the weekend. Again, found it a lot more enjoyable than the critics said. A-

Gridiron Gang, despite The Rock's charismatic performance, the movie on a whole just reminds you how great Remember the Titans was...the dialogue is horrendous, even worse when we see documentary footage of the real team and the dialogue in there is the same...
Gridiron Gang - *1/2 (out of four)

Okay, reviewing Jackass 2 is difficult to do, basically you love it or you don't. Me, I'm on the end that I love it. (After all, I did go see it, only because by the time I got to the theater, Fearless was already playing.)
It is quite a piece of work...Some people have been comparing it to performance art, and in the long run that may be it. They are artist, just perverse and gross artist...You can tell that their stunts are more than just a bunch of idiots going "Wouldn't it be cool if..." And in this one, you can see a gleeful intelligence behind their sickness...One stunt involves putting WeeMan on a stool and having a professional card thrower (the kind that can throw and slice watermelons with playing cards) into his butt...Yes, juvenille...but the genius comes in when they put an electrical shock in the stool, which they set off every time the card player pretends to throw a card...WeeMan believes the electric shocks are the cards hitting him in the butt...It's the idea of putting a prank on top of a prank...the constant need to top one's self...and in the end, you are in tears with laughter at the lengths these guys will go to for their "art." Okay, I'm reading too much into this...The point is I laughed so hard that I was doubled over in pain on my walk home...isn't that what comedy is supposed to do...
Jackass: Number Two - ***1/2.
Please don't have my film afficianado card taken away.

I saw "The Last Kiss" last weekend. Zach Braff and Jacinda Barrett are a couple who have been dating, but are not married. In the first ten minutes of the movie, we find out that Jacinda Barrett, who plays Jenna, is pregnant. Then, around 10-15 minutes later or so, Zach Braff, Jacinda Barrett, and some of their friends go to a wedding. There, Zach Braff meets Rachel Bilson, who plays a spunky college chick. They hang out behind Zach Braff's wife's back. And that's all I'll tell you for now. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. Some parts were funny, but not "haha" funny, more like ironic funny. Anyways, this film is DEFINITELY NOT for kids, as it features 3 or 4 sex scenes and vulgar language throughout the film. All in all, it was a heartwarming film that should not be missed. 4/5 stars! Oh, I'm seeing Factotum and Confetti tomorrow! I can't wait!

Factotum: 4/5 stars!
Matt Dillon's performance was completely oscar-worthy.

Confetti: Three couples try to win the title of "Most Original Wedding of the Year" in order to win a house and be on the cover of the new issue of Confetti magazine. This film is NOT for children, as one couple are naturists, so they are naked throughout the film. There is also vulgar language. However, this film is one of my favorites of the summer/beginning of fall. Defintitely worth watching. Plus, the entire script is improvised!! HILARIOUS! 5/5 for Confetti!
