Exit Productions is looking to secure the rights for "Ice Station" -- a scorchingly paced action adventure novel by the international bestseller Matthew Reilly.
Set in Antarctica, Ice Station pits a group of U.S. Marines against a host of unexpected adversaries. Buried deep in the ice, in a layer 100 million years old, is something resembling an UFO. This arouses the greed of governments around the globe.
Soon Special Forces units from different countries are unleashed in this inhospitable land in a race to claim the hidden treasure. It is upto Lt. Shane "Scarecrow" Schofield and his highly trained team of Marines to beat the odds and salvage the hidden treasure which could possibly be the answer to the question "Are we alone in this universe"?
Exit Productions has announced that the budget will be in excess of 80 million (though no exact figure has been decided) and no effort will be spared to turn this book into a great action movie.
Production will begin in mid July and the movie is eyeing a Nov 23rd release (thansgiving day)
