The Plot: In 1940s Los Angeles, a beautiful young actress is murdered, mutilated, and her corpse cut up into pieces and scattered in a vacant lot; two cops (Hartnett and Eckhart) investigate and are drawn into a seamy world of sex and violence. Based on the legendary unsolved true story and the unsettling novel by James Ellroy (LA Confidential).

Well, it seems that this one will have some competition from Hollywoodland...both seem very similar at least in style (I know they aren't), and thus, with Hollywoodland coming out first, people may be more interested in that one...However, this one has a name director attached, though it's been nearly decades since De Palma's last movie...
I expect $11M for an opening weekend, maybe on to do around $30M total...
I do want to see it, though, just for the De Palma making a good movie factor...
