Predict numbers for 3-day and 4-day weekend. Crank - A hit man (Statham) goes on an adrenalized rampage after discovering he's been poisoned and has only 24 hours to cure himself, or die trying. The Wicker Man - A mainland sheriff (Cage) patroling a nearby island gets caught in a tragic accident involving a mother and her young daughter. The island community offers little in the way of help, even when reports emerge of the girl's miraculous, improbable reappearance. Crossover - Noah (Jonathan) and Tech (Mackie) are two best friends and talented basketball players with radically different plans for the future. Their interests -- Noah's got a scholarship to UCLA while Tech has his sights on an underground street ball championship -- bring them both to in Los Angeles, where fate has something in store for both of them. Competition: Wide Expansion of The Illusionist2nd wide week of Little Miss Sunshine (Go Little Miss Sunshine Go! ) 2nd week of Invincible

Hmmm, this is a tricky one...Two of the movies released weren't screened for critics (The Wicker Man and Crank) which we know is usually a bad sign...
The Wicker Man and Crank are going to be close to each other...I actually think Crank may have the edge since Jason Statham's star is on the rise whereas Nic Cage's is declining...not to mention Crank has better previews than Wicker Man...However, Wicker Man is opening on more screens than Crank and I wonder how many remember the original (and its awesome twist ending)...Personally I don't think Ellen Burstyn is an adequate replacement for Christopher Lee (if you haven't seen the original, please see it before you watch this one)...so it's a toss up...I see Wicker Man with $11M for the three day, and possibly $13M for the four day, with Crank having $10M for the three day, and $12M for the four day.
Crossover is not in too many theaters, but it does have an audience...at just over 1000 theaters, it may do about $4M for the three day, and $5.5M for the four day...
The Illusionist expands to nearly 900 theaters and has been doing great business in limited release, but how will it play in the midwest...well, it should be able to have word of mouth take it to $6M for the weekend and $7.5 for the four day...
Invincible should be able to win the weekend again...It's getting terrific Word of Mouth, and with nothing two pressing coming out, it should see a light drop, say to $12M for the three, and $15M for the four day...where Little Miss Sunshine expanding to over 1000 theaters, will get a solid $8M for the weekend, and $10M for the four day...
Four Day Predictions:
1. Invincible - $15.1M 2. The Wicker Man - $12.8M 3. Crank - $11.3M 4. Little Miss Sunshine - $10M 5. The Illusionist - $7.3M 6. Talledega Nights - $6.2M 7. Crossover - $5.7M 8. World Trade Center - $4.7M 9. Accepted - $4.5M 10. Beerfest - $4M
For me personally, my movie pick to see this weekend would be Crank...It's cheesy, sure, but I did enjoy both Transporter movies, and don't see why this one would be different...However, since I am near NYC, I'm probably going to hit This Film is Not Yet Rated, followed by Illusionist...
